TRAINING OF TRAINERS ON LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION: 30.11.2016 – 02.12.2016, Diani, Kwale County.
In the framework of the project “Vertical Integration and Learning for Low-Emission Development in Africa and Southeast Asia (V-LED)”, ILEG and adelphi conductes a training of trainers (ToT) workshop on local climate action in Kwale.
This ToT offers them a unique opportunity to become a climate change leader in their community. With the use of an action-oriented toolkit, they will learn how to train community groups in developing their own climate change projects. The best community projects will have the chance to receive a financial award to fund implementation in 2017.
WHAT CAN THEY LEARN?
Participants will undergo a three-day ToT workshop in Kwale. The workshop will equip participants with practical tools and guidelines on how to develop local climate change projects. It will further enable participant to train community groups in the acquired methods and tools. An outcome of this ToT would be that local communities are able develop climate action initiatives that can be piloted with a financial award from the V-LED project.
ILEG is organized this training in partnership with the Germany based organisation adelphi in the framework of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) project Vertical Integration and Learning for Low-Emission Development in Africa and Southeast Asia (V-LED)”.
